Bamboo Laminate
Flooring
Most types of bamboo laminate
flooring are installed through the floating floor
method and are more dense and stable. The useful thing about
this kind of installation is that the flooring is treated as a
single plank, so it does not contract or expand nearly as
rapidly. The bamboo laminate flooring also is typically
installed without glue or nails. The floating bamboo
flooring method allows the flooring to be installed
without the need of glue or nails because of the way the
planks lock together. The solid and stable bamboo laminate
flooring is one of the best types of bamboo flooring a
person can have installed in his or her house, as it is
quite durable and does not contract and expand like normal
wood flooring.
Why is Bamboo Laminate Flooring
Better?
The lamination process basically makes it so two layers of
bamboo are glued together to make it stronger than normal. A
bamboo laminate flooring is in fact more stable than a normal
bamboo floor because of the
lamination. This means that when this type of flooring is
installed, very little maintenance will be needed.
When installing bamboo laminate flooring, the planks are
made to be set down and locked together. Little to no glueing
or nailing is required when this form of bamboo flooring is
installed. This method of installation is known as the floating
floor installation, which means that the planks of bamboo are
laid down on top of the subfloor. The planks are able to be
locked together like a giant puzzle. Because it does not
require many, if any, special tools, installing bamboo flooring
via the floating floor method can be done quickly and
easily.
Using a bamboo
laminate flooring for your new house (or renovation
work) will definitely turn it into an exciting new place. Usual
western woods have become so widely used in the past few years
that it made all houses look "alike". If you want to escape it,
you'll need to look at some more exotic textures, providing a
visually different resting area... something like
bamboo.
One of the
good things with laminate floors is that, it doesn't really
matter what texture you have in it. In fact, you could even
have any photograph under your feet (if the floor
manufacturer actually allowed that). So, having any exotic
texture isn't a real problem. Having a bamboo laminate floor
(or any other exotic,
or endangered wood species) laminate floor is just a
matter of changing the "photograph" under the top
protective layer. (Just so you know: you can even find
laminate floors looking like ceramic
tiles). Whether
you are using it for your entire house or just for a
particular room, choosing bamboo laminate flooring
will be a refreshing change from the common floors you can
find everywhere. Being so easy to install, and replace,
you can even dare to choose an even more exotic look for
you room, knowing that you could easily afford to change
it again in a few months time if it didn't work out as
well as you'd have expected.
